BlackMarket is a new concept for the Amsterdam party scene because they want to introduce the combination of food and music at different time slots.
The goal was to bring together the various cultures in Amsterdam that now often linger in their own scene. By using visual language we searched for Caribbean/African values and cut them up with urban ‘grafiti’ feeling. A lot of wild styles together.
Give each element a function. If the logo was in African style, then the image would be Caribbean and the typography would have a connecting theme. So it was an eclectic celebration and fitted in perfectly with the spirit of the event.
